About Alex

The teacher behind the promise.

The American way.

Americans don't focus on perfect. We focus on the goal. Perfect English is a lifetime project. Getting understood in the room, on the call, in the exam hall, that's a plan with a date on it. That's what we build.

Every lesson is made from scratch for one student. No textbook, no class of twenty, no translation. You speak from minute one, you get it wrong, you get it better, and you leave able to do the thing you came to do.

You're in the right place CELTA certified American company, American teacher Pronunciation specialist Every lesson built for you Nine years teaching Students worldwide No translation, ever

Nine years, students on every continent, one rule.

Alex is a CELTA certified American English teacher and pronunciation specialist, born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He studied Psychology at Boise State University and went on to master's work in Instructional Design, which turns out to be most of teaching: knowing why a person freezes before they speak, how to build the lesson that gets them talking, and how to tell if it worked.

He started in resort management in Hawaii, training international staff whose English had to work by the next shift, not by the end of the semester. Then came Vietnam, where he earned the CELTA and the Cambridge methodology behind every lesson here, and classrooms in Taiwan, Portugal and Hong Kong. Now it's one to one lessons online for students around the globe, most of them professionals with a meeting on the calendar.

Not interested in perfect English. Interested in you getting where you're going. Every lesson is built from scratch for one student. You'll never hear "wrong". You'll hear "you can do it better", and then you will.

How a lesson with Alex feels.

You talk first.

From minute one. The lesson is built around what comes out of your mouth, not a page in a book.

Sounds, not just words.

Linking, stress and rhythm, the stuff that makes Americans understand you the first time.

Your calendar is the syllabus.

The meeting on Monday, the exam in June, the parent teacher night. That's what we prep for.

Off the clock.

Because a teacher is a person first, and the best lessons come from real life.
